What is a CBT-Informed Approach?
A Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) approach is based on the understanding that our thoughts, emotions, physical sensations, and behaviours are all connected. Sometimes we develop unhelpful patterns of thinking or reacting that keep us feeling stressed, anxious, overwhelmed, or stuck. A CBT-informed approach helps you recognise these patterns, understand where they come from, and gently challenge whether they are helping or hindering you. Together, we'll explore practical ways to reframe unhelpful thoughts, develop healthier behaviours, and build strategies that support your wellbeing. The goal isn't to ignore difficult emotions or "think positively"; it's to create lasting change by helping you respond to life's challenges in a more balanced, realistic, and effective way. Over time, these small, consistent changes can have a significant impact on your confidence, relationships, resilience, and overall quality of life.

Living with ADHD can feel exhausting. You may find yourself constantly battling racing thoughts, feeling overwhelmed by everyday tasks, struggling to regulate emotions, or wondering why things that seem easy for other people feel so difficult. ADHD affects everyone differently, but with the right understanding and strategies, it is possible to work with your brain rather than against it.
My ADHD coaching uses a compassionate, CBT-informed approach to help you better understand how your ADHD shows up in your daily life. Together, we'll identify the patterns that are holding you back, develop practical strategies that suit the way your brain works, and build habits that are realistic and sustainable. Sessions are tailored to your individual goals, whether that's improving focus, managing emotions, reducing overwhelm, strengthening relationships, building confidence, or preventing burnout.
By investing in ADHD coaching, you're investing in a better understanding of yourself. Clients often leave with greater self-awareness, improved emotional regulation, increased confidence, practical tools they can use every day, and a renewed sense of control. The aim isn't to change who you are; it's to help you recognise your strengths, navigate your challenges, and build a life that works for you, not against you.

Perimenopause is a natural stage of life, but the hormonal changes it brings can have a significant impact on your mental wellbeing. Many women experience increased anxiety, low mood, brain fog, poor concentration, disrupted sleep, emotional overwhelm, and a loss of confidence. For women with ADHD, these changes can be even more noticeable. As oestrogen levels fluctuate, ADHD symptoms such as forgetfulness, difficulty concentrating, emotional regulation, and overwhelm can become more challenging to manage.
Using a compassionate, CBT-informed approach, we'll work together to understand how perimenopause is affecting you and develop practical strategies to help you regain a sense of control. Coaching provides a safe space to explore the physical, emotional, and psychological changes you're experiencing, while building realistic tools to manage stress, improve sleep, strengthen routines, regulate emotions, and navigate this stage of life with greater confidence.
Investing in coaching during perimenopause is an investment in your future. Together, we'll help you understand what's changing, recognise that you're not "losing yourself," and develop strategies that work with your body and mind. The goal is to help you feel more confident, more resilient, and better equipped to thrive both at work and at home.

Stress is a normal part of life, but when pressure becomes constant and there's little opportunity to rest and recover, it can lead to burnout. You may feel exhausted, overwhelmed, detached, irritable, struggle to concentrate, or find that even simple tasks feel like hard work. Left unchecked, chronic stress can affect your physical health, relationships, confidence, and performance at work.
My stress and burnout coaching uses a compassionate, CBT-informed approach to help you understand what is driving your stress and why your mind and body are responding the way they are. Together, we'll identify the patterns, beliefs, and behaviours that are keeping you stuck, explore practical ways to manage pressure more effectively, and develop healthier boundaries, habits, and coping strategies that support long-term wellbeing.
By investing in coaching, you're investing in your ability to perform well without sacrificing your health. You'll gain a greater understanding of your own stress responses, learn practical techniques to prevent burnout, improve your resilience, and create a more balanced, sustainable way of living. The aim isn't simply to reduce stress; it's to help you build a life where you can thrive, both professionally and personally.

How is mental health coaching different from counselling or therapy?
Coaching focuses on where you are now and where you want to be. While we may explore past experiences to understand current patterns, the emphasis is on building practical skills, developing resilience and creating positive change for the future.
Who is coaching suitable for?
Coaching is ideal for individuals who want to improve their mental wellbeing and are ready to make positive changes. Many clients seek support for stress, burnout, ADHD, perimenopause, confidence, emotional regulation, work-related pressures or major life changes.
What happens during the discovery session?
This is an opportunity for us to get to know each other. We'll explore what's bringing you to coaching, what you'd like to achieve and begin developing a plan that's tailored to your needs. There's no pressure or judgement, just a supportive conversation.
How many sessions will I need?
Everyone is different. Some people benefit from just a few sessions, while others prefer longer-term support. We'll review your progress regularly and decide together what feels right for you.
Where do sessions take place?
Sessions can take place online, at an agreed location, during a walk-and-talk session or over a coffee. The aim is to create an environment where you feel comfortable enough to have open and honest conversations.
Is everything confidential?
Yes. Everything discussed during coaching is confidential, unless there is a legal requirement to share information or there is a serious concern about your safety or the safety of someone else. If this situation ever arose, I would discuss it with you wherever possible.
Do I need a diagnosis of ADHD?
No. You don't need a formal diagnosis to benefit from coaching. Whether you've recently been diagnosed, are waiting for an assessment or simply recognise ADHD traits in yourself, coaching can help you understand your thinking patterns and develop strategies that work for you.
Can coaching help during perimenopause?
Yes. Many women experience increased stress, anxiety, brain fog and emotional changes during perimenopause. Coaching provides practical tools and support to help you understand these changes, manage their impact and regain confidence.
Is coaching suitable if I'm feeling burnt out?
Yes. Burnout often develops gradually and can affect every area of your life. Coaching helps you identify what's contributing to your stress, establish healthier boundaries and develop sustainable habits that support your wellbeing.
How much does coaching cost?
An initial discovery call is free. Individual coaching sessions are £120, with discounted rates available for employees whose organisation partners with Cavalier Health. Coaching programmes are also available for those looking for ongoing support.
How do I get started?
The first step is to book a free discovery call. We'll discuss what's been happening, what you'd like to achieve and whether coaching feels like the right fit for you. There's no obligation to continue; it's simply an opportunity to explore how I can help.
